Kampo Treatment Kampo medicine, with its roots in ancient Chinese medicine, has been developed and is widely used in Japan. It is different from traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Korean medicine. In our clinic, we use Kampo, along with other types of medicine, for treatment, and this is also covered by Japanese health insurance. Prescriptions vary depending on symptoms, progress, and individuals. After checking the reaction to the first prescription, we determine the next prescription; therefore, please come to see a doctor once a week or two. *Each time one or two kinds of Kampo may be prescribed. *Kampo is in powder form and you take each Kampo three times a day (or twice a day depending on the package type). Kampo is frequently used in the treatment for the following symptoms.
